Tanzania eSIM — frequently asked questions
How much does an eSIM for Tanzania cost?
Plans for Tanzania start at $10.33 for 1 GB valid for 7 days. There are 6 plans to choose from, so you only pay for the data and days you need.
Is there an unlimited data eSIM for Tanzania?
Not at the moment. The largest plan for Tanzania has 20 GB.
Does the Tanzania eSIM include calls and SMS?
No, the plans for Tanzania are data only. You can call and message over apps like WhatsApp, and keep your own SIM active for regular calls.
When should I install the eSIM, and when does it start?
Install it over Wi-Fi before you travel — an eSIM can only be installed once. The plan starts when the eSIM first connects to a network in Tanzania, so the days don't run while you are still at home.

Can I share the data with a hotspot?
Yes, you can use the eSIM as a mobile hotspot and share the connection with a laptop or tablet. Every connected device uses data from your plan.
