The Best eSIM for Palestine: Plans, Prices and the Network It Uses
Published on October 21, 2026 · 3 min read
Bethlehem and the Church of the Nativity, Ramallah's cafés, the old towns of Nablus and Hebron, Jericho and the Dead Sea road, or family you have not seen in years: a trip to the West Bank runs on messaging apps, maps and the odd video call home, and a working line from the first hour saves a lot of friction at checkpoints and taxi ranks.
This is what a Palestine eSIM from Lyntel costs, which network it uses and what to know before you buy. Prices are as of October 2026 and start from $23.
Which network does the eSIM use?
The eSIM connects to Jawwal, the largest Palestinian mobile network, which covers the cities and main roads of the West Bank. There is one network on the plan, so there is no switching to configure: the phone joins Jawwal and stays on it.
Two things to know. The plan is a West Bank plan: it does not include Israeli networks, so if you land at Ben Gurion and spend time in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem before crossing, where Jawwal does not operate, you will want an Israel eSIM for that part. And these plans cost more per gigabyte than most of our catalogue; the table is honest about that.
Plans and who each one is for
| Plan | Validity | Price | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 GB | 7 days | $23 | A week of maps, messaging and a few photos a day |
| 2 GB | 15 days | $45 | Two weeks of navigation, email and social media |
| 3 GB | 30 days | $63 | A month at the pace of messaging and the occasional video |
| 5 GB | 30 days | $105 | A month with video calls home, light streaming on Wi-Fi gaps |
How much data do you actually need?
- Maps and messaging: 1 GB a week.
- Social media, a few videos a day: 2 to 3 GB a week.
- Video calls home every evening: 5 GB and above.
At these prices the sensible plan is to lean on Wi-Fi — hotels, guesthouses and most cafés in Bethlehem and Ramallah have it — and keep the eSIM for the road, the checkpoint queue and the moments you must be reachable. Messaging and voice over WhatsApp use very little data; video and uploads are what eat a plan.
Good to know
- Calls and SMS. The plans are data only. Calls and messages over WhatsApp and similar apps work as they do at home, and your own SIM stays in the phone for regular calls.
- Hotspot works, so you can share the connection with a laptop or a travelling companion.
- Crossing from Jordan. If you enter by the King Hussein (Allenby) bridge, install the eSIM before you travel and switch it on once you are through; it starts counting from the first connection, not from the purchase.
How activation works
- Buy the plan on lyntel.io or in the Lyntel app.
- Install the eSIM from the email: scan the QR code, or one tap on iOS and Android.
- Turn on data roaming for the Lyntel line once you are in the West Bank. The validity starts at the first connection, so install it at home and let it wait.
Almost every phone from the last five years supports eSIM; check yours on the supported devices list.
